April rewind

I really want to start blogging more often, but I feel that the weeks have gone by with not much going on besides work. This past month though I feel I have much more to say, so I hope you enjoy this sort of update.

I am currently eating some chocolate I ordered from Greece, but the chocolate is Cadbury which I only discovered while in the UK – which reminds me again that I haven’t shared those pictures yet, whoops. I will do that soon.

This month was pretty full for me in terms of work, we have one lengthy project which I though was going to be done in march, but it was extended and trying to make people trust the data in Power BI is quite exhausting.
The trainings I have on Power BI are going on quite nice though, I have had 7 sessions which is approx. 60 persons – and it’s wild thinking that I am teacher. Wow. I still have a few sessions left and the feedback is generally good, this will definitely set the vibe for the sessions for next year if I decide to keep going with them.

I went to one concert which is not really my usual cup of tea, but I was curious to hear them live and now I am totally a fan. Here’s one of my fave songs: https://youtu.be/h7J4FlM9lZM?si=D0Mro1yATN4SjXIm

My favourite band Epica also released their album called Aspiral and once again I am reminded what power music has, when you have a group of people that can create such a masterpiece I am left speechless. I know that music and whatever you like is objective and everybody like their stuff, but to me this band is like a family, like a friend there for you. This song is currently on loop.

I finished the The Housemaid book series, haven’t had a book to keep me this captivated for a while. I chose my next book from the same author – Never lie, you can follow me on Goodreads if you’d like. I already have 8 books read until now, hope I don’t loose my reading streak.

This month I also went to my first ever escape room. It was a Harry Potter themed one and I have got mixed feelings. The activity in itself it’s enjoyable, I like solving mysteries and puzzles, but probably the one we went is not the best one. The owner was really creepy and treated us like children and also often came in the room when not asked and gave us the answers to the puzzles. The objective of the room was to find Dobby’s sock that Harry gave to him in HP 2 and some of the puzzles were not really linked to that story, they felt random and only from HP world, but not in sync with the actual scope of the room. There’s another HP room in Bucharest which is supposed to be better, I hope I can go there too so I won’t have this experience only, as it was not the best one to be honest.

This last weekend was Easter break too and I am so grateful we had these couple of days off, on Friday we took the train to Targoviste, a small city near Bucharest where my husband is from. We visited his family and then walked back to the train station to catch the train back to Bucharest. To our surprise the train schedule has changed and so we had to wait 30 mins somewhere random for a connection to Bucharest, where it was windy as hell, but eh, I took a couple selfies lol.

I think that’s all for today, thank you for reading if you got this far – I appreciate this a lot!
Have a good day & week!
