Another attempt at star gazing

Yep, you’ve seen the title. It’s true, I attempted to gaze at the stars. Well, not just me alone but my camera and telescope obviously.
What? Yes, yes. I have a telescope now and I haven’t been able to use it since I received it due to weather conditions *cough* global warming *cough*.

So yeah, this attempt was somehow successful and it only made me want to explore more.

Last Sunday we were supposed to see Venus right after sunset and so since it was a semi-clear sky here in Bucharest we took the gear and ventured outside in a park nearby. It took a little fussing around as the park is mostly well lit at night so it was a matter of finding a dark spot so neither the camera lens or the telescope catch the light.

I think it was around one hour or even more of trying to set up both the telescope’s focus and to actually point it at the planet and then the camera’s settings since there was still a little light coming from outside. So the quality is not that great and it seems that not in every place I can share these, the colors and everything are poor. You can check here a better resolution. https://photos.app.goo.gl/kP4pQMxayuwXpXeR7

My first attempt at this actually was back in February when we went to Brasov and the sky was so, so clear for two days, but guess who didn’t take her tripod? You have one guess.
So yeah, I placed my camera on the ground and controlled it with my phone and these came out. Nice and trippy, but they kinda look cool.

I am not quitting now, I want to figure out more stuff and also find a way to connect me camera to the telescope and use my 70-300mm lens.

Bye for now or should I say tschuss? (200+ days in German Duolingo, please applaud me)
