As we close this year, there are a few things I would like to say in this space.
I always felt like the new year celebration is not really a celebration. I mean I understand celebrating the passing of time, but it should be focused more on people’s birthdays, on each individual, not because the planet made a full rotation of the Sun. I am the Grinch of winter holidays!
But alas, 2023 was a good year. I got married, I traveled a fair amount, I took some good pictures, made some new friends and I learned a lot, both in my profession and personal lives.
This year I also saw myself through Ioana’s eyes as creepy Sally and I love it. You can check her out here Instagram- sometimesidewdle.

This year was also the year when I seriously started with drawing and painting again, especially in the last months I felt that I needed to do something for myself and drawing is very calming I feel. You might remember the drawings I did from previous posts, but let me share the one that I am really proud of. I followed this tutorial, if you’re interested.

These weeks I also finally printed and framed some of my photographs and you have no idea how happy I was when I saw them. It was hard to pick them, but I consider this a good exercise for everyone who’s creating digital art. Enjoy your work, don’t forget it in folders on your computer!

What I would have liked also for this year was to keep up with my reading, but I hope to fix that soon. I don’t set intentions for the new year, I never have, but if I would, I would definitely set up reading as top priority.
Being more active in general is also what I would like to implement, especially taking on swimming again. I really enjoyed swimming this summer and it would be nice to be able to do that without a floatie.
I do plan some trips for next year which for now will remain secrets. I guess traveling can be ruled out as new years intentions anyway, you gotta plan it in advance so they don’t rob you, haha.
Next year might also be one with changes in the professional life, which I would like to consider already as happened and not will happen. Also, secret for now. Not that I divulge that much here, but anyway.
As final notes from me, I would like to convey a few messages:
? be present – leave your phone face down more often (or even in different rooms), you don’t need to check it every 2 seconds.
? be kind – you don’t have to donate your whole time and salary to anyone, but a little effort makes a difference in someone else’s life. You choose to whom, be it human or animal.
? be considerate of people’s feelings – you night not know of anything in somebody’s life so be gentle.
? check your health – you can take this as a sign to do your annual check ups.
Thank you for everyone who checked out my blog this year and who reacts at my posts and I hope to see you all next year!
